GETTING STARTED
Is Bocal out yet?Not yet. It's coming soon to iPhone, for iOS 18 and later.
How does food get into Bocal?Tell Ask: type or say what you bought, like “got 6 eggs and some feta”. Scan the receipt after a big shop. Or tick things off in the shop, and Finish Trip puts them all away.
Do I have to weigh everything?No. Bocal guesses how long each food keeps, and you can slide how much is left whenever you like. Amounts are never asked for in a recipe.
YOUR KITCHEN AND ICLOUD
Where is my kitchen kept?On your iPhone, or in your own iCloud if you chose In Your iCloud the first time Bocal opened. With iCloud, it's there on a new phone too.
The pill says Can't reach iCloud. Is anything lost?No. Your kitchen is safe on your iPhone, and syncs again by itself once iCloud can be reached. Keep Bocal installed until then.
Can I share my kitchen?No. A kitchen is one person's.
ASK AND RECEIPTS
Does Ask send what I say anywhere?No. Ask runs on your iPhone. Only reading a recipe from a link needs a connection, to fetch that page.
Why didn't a line on my receipt come through?Bocal leaves out what isn't food, like the bag or the savings, and anything Finish Trip already put away. A line it can't name waits on the card as “Not sure what this is”, so you can name it.
THE SUBSCRIPTION
What does it cost?It'll be a subscription through the App Store. The price will be here before Bocal is out.
How do I cancel?In your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Bocal. Your kitchen stays where it is.
Can I get a refund?Refunds go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
